This is the first rice recipe that I tried out in my Microwave. Very easy one pot recipe!!
Ingredients:
Basmati Rice - 250 gms
Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Cream - 1 tsp
Black Pepper - 1 tsp
Cloves - 4 to 5
Cinnamon - 1 inch long
Cardamom - 2 whole
Cashewnuts - 8 to 10
Ghee - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Vegetables:
Capsicum - 1 medium size
Potato - 1 medium size
Peas - 8 to 10 pods
Onion - 1 small
Chillies - 3
Method:
Wash the Rice and keep it aside for around 20 mins. Grind Chillies and half of the onion.
Add ginger and garlic paste to this and keep aside.
Take a large microwavable bowl and add rice, ghee and all other ingredients.Add the vegetable cut in small pieces. Add turmeric and salt.Add water thrice the amount of rice.
Microwave it at the max power for 20 mins.
Garnish with coriander and serve.
