Methi Paratha

If you are on a dieting spree, then this is the recipe for you. Bundled with loads of nutrients and stomach filling. Fenugreek (Methi) is rich in vitamins and minerals and is easily absorbed by the body.

Also, recently I had bought some fresh carrots along with their leaves from the market. So tried to use the leaves in making raitha.. It tasted super delicious. Carrot leaves are also rich in nutrients so use them abundantly in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

Wheat flour - 2 cups
Methi Leaves - 1 cup
Green chilli - 2
Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Milk - 2 tsp
Oil - 1 tsp

Carrot leaves raitha:

Carrot leaves - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 small
Curd - 1 cup
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:

Chop methi leaves and green chillies finely. Mix all the other ingredients together and add the green chilli and methi leaves to it.

Also add milk and oil to this. Mix all the ingredients and make a dough. Make parathas with it.

For the raitha:

Finely chop the carrot leaves and onion. Add curd to this and mix well. Add salt and chilli powder. Raitha is ready to be served.

Serve the parathas hot with raitha and lime pickle.

Note:

1. Adding milk when making dough, makes the parathas very soft. You can also add milk when making Chapathi or roti.
2. Lime pickle is a very good combination for methi paratha.
3. Carrot leaves look similar to coriander. I have used them in the pictures.

Enjoy Cooking.. :)
