Mango rice is a seasonal dish. It is tasty and breaks the monotony of cooking the rice with lemon (lemon rice).

Steamed Rice - 2 bowls
Raw mango - 1/2 bowl (grated)

Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Channa Dal - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Groundnuts - 2 tsp

Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Green Chillies - 2
Salt to taste
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they begin to splutter, add channa and urad dal.
Add the groundnuts and mix well till they are fried. Add turmeric powder and chopped green chillies.
Now add the grated mango to the pan and cook for 2 minutes. Add salt and the cooked rice and mix well.
Serve hot with Mango pickle. Enjoy cooking.. :)
