Masala Chapathi

If you are travelling or just going out for a long day and don't want to eat anything outside, then this recipe is perfect. Just apply little bit of pickle on top of it and roll it and you have food on the go.
This is my grandmother's recipe, so a little more close to my heart..

Ingredients:

Wheat flour - 1 cup
Salt to taste
Ghee - 3 to 4 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Dry mango powder - 1 tsp
Maida - 2 tsp
Kasuri methi - 2 tsp
Oil

Method:

Mix wheat flour, salt and a tsp of oil and knead it into dough.

In a bowl, add all the other ingredients like chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, dry mango powder, kasuri methi and maida and mix well. Add little salt to it.

Take a little bit of dough and roll it. Now apply ghee to it and sprinkle the masala over it.

Now fold it into pleats as we do for laccha paratha. Roll it and tuck it in...

Now again make Chapathi from the dough. Roast on both sides with little oil.

When the Chapathi is still hot fold it a bit on all sides so that you can observe the layers.

Serve hot with ketchup, raitha or pickle..

Enjoy Cooking!!!
